Most newbie internet marketers who have a home based business are criticized with simply collecting information and tools onto their hard drive without ever using it. A good example of this is buying a PLR ebook package and never uploading it, so you can make money because you are overwhelmed by the entire task. But today I’m going to show you how to make some changes to your sales page, so it will ready to greet customers and you’ll find the task is not overly taxing. This article applies to those who know some HTML and have a PayPal account.

1. Open and read the entire sales page. You will see that some parts will be in bold text and in a color different from the rest of the sales page; most likely they will be placed in square brackets

ie From the desk of [Your Name]. It is the text in the brackets that you want to change.

To change the text click on the “view source” tab in your web browser and then copy and paste the entire text into a new page in your HTML editor. Then all you need to do id delete the brackets and then the text within it and change it to say what you want. Depending on the terms and conditions, you can change the price of the product, the bonus offer and even the sales text.

If you are a good copy writer then now is the time to put your skills into play, altering your sales text helps you stand apart from others who bought the PLR ebook publishing package.

2. Set up the payment button. To do this, log into your PayPal account and click on the “Merchants Services” tab to make a “Buy Now” button. You will need to set a price and choose a product name. Choose a name that you can easily remember, so you can keep track of the purchases made by customers.

You may decide that you want to use the “Buy Now” button offered in the ebook publishing package. If so then click on the “Use your own button image” radio button in the “customize button” section and enter the url of the graphic. Now you want to proceed to step three.

This involves clicking the “Step 3 Customize advanced features (optional)” and setting the first three radio buttons to “no”. Next, check the two boxes that read “Take customer to a specific page (URL) after checkout cancellation” and “Take customer to a specific page (URL) after successful checkout”. You then want to enter the url of these two pages on your home based business website.

Now, press the create button and copy and paste the code into your HTML editor where the “Buy Now” button would be found.

3. Loading the graphics. Your next step is to make sure your graphics will be uploaded onto the site. Therefore go through the HTML editor and find all the graphics. To make sure the graphics successfully load you may have to go through the page and change the url of each image to the url where the images will be located on your website. It is recommended that you create a separate directory on your home based business website and place the graphics there.

Then save the page and upload both the sales page and the graphics into the appropriate directories. Now you can check how everything looks by typing your home based business url into the web browser. Look to see if everything is there the way you want including your “Buy Now” button, which should be tested to make sure all the details of the purchase process are correct.

Your home based business now has a sales page that is uploaded and ready for customers. This is something to be excited about since you are one step closer to making sales.
